Dorans River has won two of his three starts over hurdles since joining Gordon Elliott and will bid to continue his improvement here.

The seven-year-old accounted for the Willie Mullins-trained Robin Des Foret and Joseph O'Brien's Cook Islands over this course and distance last month, and all three renew rivalry in this contest.

The Alan Fleming-trained Product Of Love and Edward O'Grady's Venezia won their maiden hurdles impressively and are two relatively unexposed horses to throw into the mix.

Clara Sorrento is another worth considering for Noel Meade. The Gigginstown-owned grey won a Punchestown novice hurdle over this trip in May and has a liking for good ground.

What they say

Alan Fleming, trainer of Product Of Love
He's had a good break between his races and he's as good as we can have him for this. He'll love the trip and ground and the form of his Ballinrobe win has worked out with the second winning since, and that's always nice to see. We're hopeful of a good run.

Gordon Elliott, trainer of Dorans River
He won well at Roscommon last time and has come out of the race very well. We're looking forward to running him.

Edward O'Grady, trainer of Venezia
He really enjoyed the conditions when he won on debut for us at Gowran Park but this will be a much stiffer test. He has come out of that win very well and he likes good ground.

Noel Meade, trainer of Clara Sorrento
He’s fit and ready for this. He won nicely at Punchestown over this trip and I've been happy with him since. He likes nice ground.

Joseph O'Brien, trainer of Cook Islands
He bumped into Dorans River and Robin Des Foret here last time, and while it won’t be easy to turn the form around I'm happy with how he has come out of the race. Hopefully he can run well.
