It is approaching the fifth anniversary of Paul Nolan's last Grade 1 win.

That arrived in the Racing Post Novice Chase at Leopardstown on St Stephen's Day in 2013 when Defy Logic's swashbuckling style was too much for Champagne Fever. Nolan was back where he belonged, dining at the top table. Not for long.

A fatal injury when doing a routine gallop at home meant we only saw Defy Logic once more.
