David Probert looking to go one better in all-weather championship this season

David Probert, runner-up to Adam Kirby in the all-weather jockeys' title race last season, is hoping to go one better this time as he looks for a strong finish to a successful 2019.

The seventh all-weather championship season starts at Newcastle on Tuesday afternoon with a fast-track qualifier for finals day which is again at Lingfield on Good Friday, April 10, next year.

Probert, who shared the 2008 apprentice title with William Buick, has established himself in the top echelons and he is just 30 winners away from 1,000 career winners in Britain, having passed 100 annual winners for the third time in his career this year.
