Dangerous Midge preceded his 2010 Breeders' Cup Turf win with a victory in this race.
Dartmouth began the season in a rich vein of form landing the John Porter Stakes, Ormonde Stakes and Hardwicke Stakes, on good to soft ground before succumbing to his Royal Ascot victim Highland Reel in the King George.
