Pat Eddery will be remembered at Ascot today with the first running of a Listed race permanently renamed in honour of the 11-time champion jockey, who died in November last year.

Eddery's family, including daughters Nichola and Natasha, will present the trophy alongside sponsor the Wooldridge Group for the inaugural Pat Eddery Stakes, which opens King George day.
