Five of the last six runnings of this race have been won by British raiders but that won't be happening this time given it is a solely domestic affair.

Logo Hunter is quickly developing into one of the best sprinters in Ireland and will likely head the market. The Michael Browne-trained speedster has gone from strength-to-strength this term and if he runs close to his mark of 113, he should take a world of beating. He deserves to be a short-priced favourite.

Romantic Proposal might be the main threat to Logo Hunter. Like most of Eddie Lynam's best sprinters, Romantic Proposal has got better and quicker with age. The one question mark hovering over her head is how adaptable she can be over 5f on quick ground.

There should be no such concerns on that front with Measure Of Magic, who already dished out a beating to Logo Hunter earlier this season and arrives on the back of an excellent third in the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot.

Although Logo Hunter sets the standard, seven of the eight runners boast a rating in excess of 100 and it promises to be a scorcher of a race.

What they say

Eddie Lynam, trainer of Romantic Proposal
She's in good form and came out of her last race very well. It's a small but select field. She seems to be getting quicker as she gets older, but coming back to five furlongs on quick ground could be a small bit of a problem for her. We're going to take our chance anyway.

Kieran Cotter, trainer of Erosandpsyche
We're confident of a big run. He won a messy race at Tipperary – it wasn't run to suit him and he got boxed in a bit, so he was good to overcome that. In a strange way that run may have helped him because he picked up valuable experience, which is important stepping into a Group race like this. We hold him in high regard.

Michael Browne, trainer of Logo Hunter
I hope he wins. It's a similar type of race to what he has been running and winning all season. I think he'll love the good ground. It's a Group 2 so it's not going to be simple, but there's not much difference between a Listed race and a Group 1 in Ireland because all of the same sprinters seem to be taking each other on. The fact that there are no foreign challengers is a help. He's in the Nunthorpe but I have in my head to keep him for the Flying Five and maybe the Prix de l'Abbaye. If he happens to win this we can really dream with him. We have been keeping him fresh for a back-end campaign.
