Bolger aims for second Listed win with Irish Derby third Stellar Mass in finale
Brown Panther Stakes (listed), 3yo+, 1m4f, ATR
Stellar Mass represents Classic form in the final stakes race of the Curragh season, a race named after Michael Owen's star stayer who achieved the biggest of his 11 wins when landing the 2014 Irish St Leger and who was fatally injured in the same race a year later.
Since finishing third behind Harzand and Idaho in the Irish Derby, the Jim Bolger-trained colt has been successful at Listed and Group 3 level before finishing last of five behind Zhukova at Leopardstown on his most recent start when he was beaten four lengths by the winner.
