Betting news, going updates and non-runners on 1,000 Guineas day
One down. Four to go. That is how the British Classics stand and probably how Coolmore and Ballydoyle view proceedings after striking with Churchill in yesterday's 2,000 Guineas.
Strike two could come from their 1,000 Guineas favourite Rhododendron and Ryan Moore, although they have the back-up of Winter and Hydrangea who are in the first five in the betting in the 14-runner field.
The home team is led by Frankel filly Fair Eva and the John Gosden-trained Daban.
Aidan O'Brien will have an eye on his runners at Leopardstown which hosts Irish 1,000 Guineas and Derby trials. The trainer is heavily involved in both not least with last year's Racing Post Trophy runner-up Yucatan, one of his three runners in the Derby Trial.
