Betting news, non-runners and going on Irish 1,000 Guineas day
The front page of Sunday's Racing Post had a big picture of Aidan O'Brien next to the words 'The Midas Touch' and our headline writers might have to get their thinking caps on if the master Ballydoyle trainer works his magic at the Curragh again.
Fresh from saddling 2,000 Guineas winner Churchill to success in the Irish equivalent on Saturday, O'Brien aims to complete the fillies' double with Winter, an authoritative victor at Newmarket who is odds-on for today's Tattersalls Irish 1,000 Guineas.
She is one of four runners in the race for O'Brien, who also appears to hold the key to the Group 1 Tattersalls Gold Cup with three on duty.
There are three jumps meetings in Britain, while Harry Dunlop bids for Group 1 glory in the Prix d'Ispahan with stable star Robin Of Navan.
