Betting, going and non-runners for a cracking day's racing

Aintree is here. The Cheltenham Festival may cast a long shadow over the jumps season, but with it in the rear view mirror for another year, the Grand National party is about to get started.
With four Grade 1s, Aintree certainly starts with a bang. You know it is some party when Champion Hurdle hero Buveur D'Air and possibly the biggest threat to his crown next year, Defi Du Seuil, are both on the list but are not the guest of honour.
That tag belongs to Cue Card, 11 years young and easily the most popular horse in training. He has done it all, including winning a Betway Bowl off the back of a fall three out in the Gold Cup – which is good, because that's exactly what he has to do again.
