Apprentices go head-to-head for title plus the latest from all the tracks

With four days until the end of the Flat season most of the titles are decided, but there is still a little life left in the apprentice race.

Paddy Power went 1-20 David Egan after he went five clear of Kieran Shoemark (8-1) when winning the last at Kempton on Tuesday, but the challenger has eight booked rides today to seven for Egan.

The pair take in Lingfield and Kempton on the all-weather rather than Nottingham where Frankie Dettori pops in for two rides for John Gosden.

Wetherby, which opens a £3.5m grandstand extension with BHA chief executive Nick Rust looking on, and Punchestown, where Irish Champion Hurdle winner and Champion Hurdle third Petit Mouchoir makes his chasing debut, keep the jumping enthusiasts happy.
