Anthony Van Dyck pulled out of King George showdown with Enable
Anthony Van Dyck will not take on Enable alongside his two stablemates Japan and Sovereign in the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Qipco Stakes at Ascot on Saturday after trainer Aidan O'Brien was unhappy with him on Friday evening.
O'Brien said: "We weren't 100 per cent happy with Anthony Van Dyck's bloods when they came back this evening and as a result we're not going to run him at Ascot tomorrow.
"It's disappointing but we have to do the right thing by the horse."
The 2019 Derby winner was second to Ghaiyyath in the Coronation Cup but was a disappointment behind Fanny Logan in the Hardwicke at Royal Ascot and was due to be ridden for the first time by champion jockey Oisin Murphy.
