What is your fancy in the feature Ladbrokes Trophy?
Keith Melrose, betting editor It did not look that testing yesterday and there’s not much rain forecast, which puts me off mudlarks like Yala Enki, who would otherwise have interested me. I backed Dingo Dollar in the race last year, when he shaped so well off 2lb higher on softer ground. There’s every reason to believe less testing conditions suit him ideally, so he joins my long-term fancy Mister Malarky at the top of the shortlist.
Barry Orr, Betfair spokesman I like On The Blind Side. He’s had only four chase starts and seems to have improved his jumping with each one. He beat Talkischeap at the beginning of the year and that one went on to win the bet365 Gold Cup, so off a mark of 149 he should run well.
Graeme Rodway, tipster I’ve long thought this race would be the perfect target for De Rasher Counter and won’t be deserting him now. He was impressive when bolting up on heavy ground at Uttoxeter last March and should be better for a pipe-opener over hurdles at that track last month.
