For the second successive year the Prix Guillaume d’Ornano - Haras du Logis Saint-Germain (3.00pm) has attracted the French Derby winner, with Almanzor prepping here for his travels to Leopardstown and Ascot in the coming months.

Not that Jean-Bernard Eyquem – who keeps the ride as Christophe Soumillon is aboard Zarak – is contemplating giving Almanzor a quiet comeback outing.

“I'll be riding to win and, while it's officially a Group 2, if we can do it, it will be like winning a Group 1 with this field,” said Eyquem.
