Can Aidan O'Brien do it? It is the question that will dominate the day.

O'Brien sits tied with Bobby Frankel on 25 Group/Grade 1 winners in a year with today's Racing Post Trophy, a race he has dominated in recent years, providing him with the perfect opportunity.

He saddles four, with Saxon Wrrior the choice of Ryan Moore, Seamie Heffernan aboard The Pentagon, Donnacha O'Brien on Seahenge and Wayne Lordan riding Coat Of Arms.

A whole host of jumping stars are in action at Cheltenham, while there is also action from Newbury, Kelso, Leopardstown and Wolverhampton.

Final thought

Winx is a wonderful horse, and to win three consecutive Cox Plates is a feat that is unlikely to be matched anytime soon. It would be fantastic if she was at Royal Ascot next summer, but even if she has to be admired from afar, her achievements mark her down as one of the very best of the modern era.
