'A lot of the experts are trying to get Tarnawa beaten - but she has the class'

We're back over the National Fences at Aintree. Who wins the Grand Sefton?

Phill Anderson, spotlight writer I will take a chance on . He’s become a reliable jumper in recent seasons and he’ll relish the return to 2m5f after a good third over an insufficient trip at Cork last month. I think he will take to these fences and he must have a fair each-way shout at double-figure odds. Cat Tiger has to be the main danger.

James Knight, Coral I like Thomas Macdonagh – he's still relatively unexposed over fences and his chase mark of 130 certainly looks workable given the balance of his form over hurdles and fences. Jamie Snowden won this a couple of years ago and the yard comes into the race in good form with seven of their last ten runners finishing in the first three.

Gary Moore, trainer still looks fairly well handicapped after his win in the Midlands Grand National. He’s got very few miles on the clock for an eight-year-old, and Jonjo’s horses are in great form. I see there’s been money for him this week and it looks a great starting point for his season. He’s one to follow in valuable staying handicap chases this season.
