This, my friends, is no ordinary Friday.

Later in the evening we will transfer our attention across the Atlantic, but by then we will be an awful lot wiser about Thyme Hill's future over fences, and American Mike's hurdling technique, and whether Pied Piper is really a threat to Constitution Hill and Honeysuckle. And, of course, we will have another name on the Betway Haldon Gold Cup roll of honour alongside greats like Best Mate, Edredon Bleu, Azertyuiop, Cue Card and Politologue.

It is a Friday feast with Down Royal and Exeter serving up delicious appetisers before we get to the main course at Keeneland. Indeed, for many, the tastiest dishes will be served during the day and you can guarantee there will be a lot to digest.
