7.00 Kempton: the one race you cannot afford to miss on Wednesday
7.00 Kempton
32Red Handicap (London Mile qualifier) | 1m, 4yo+ | RTV
Although there are no confirmed front-runners for this London Mile qualifier, plenty of the eight-strong field have run with the choke out recently and tend to race close to the pace, so there should be a reasonable gallop.
It is unsurprising the in-form Candelisa, who has the strongest finishing kick, heads the market as it could set up perfectly.
David Loughnane's gelding capitalised off a falling mark of 77 (21lb below his career-high) over this course and distance last time with a powerful burst from off the pace to win a similar race by a length. He has been hit with just a 4lb rise and remains well handicapped.
Runner-up that day was Divine Messenger, who reopposes with a 2lb swing in the weights. He is a course specialist drawn in stall two and has enough early speed to lead, he is considered the solid option despite racing off a career-high mark.
He travelled better than Candelisa last time and traded at short odds when hitting the front but was just done for a change of gear. It's not hard to see him turning the form around if getting an easy lead.
Lethal Missile and Delicate Kiss were also behind that day but need to show more to reverse the form, while Sea Fox has a chance if he repeats the performance of his November success at Wolverhampton. You can put a line through his latest Southwell effort (didn't handle Fibresand or first-time blinkers).
The most interesting runner is Harbour Breeze, who hasn't been seen for 207 days. Lucy Wadham's runner has an unexposed profile and could surprise at a price.

What do the stats say?
David Loughnane, trainer of recent course-and-distance winner Candelisa, boasts a £1 level-stake profit of £53.25 at Kempton in the last five years with nine winners from 64 runners.
The Emma Owen-trained Divine Messenger races exclusively on the all-weather and has recorded two victories, three seconds and one third from ten starts at Kempton.
What do the trainers say?
David Loughnane, trainer of Candelisa
The galloping track at Kempton suits him well and he's in good order so I'm hopeful he can run another big race. The 4lb rise is fair and he's a nice horse on his day. He was rated in the 90s at one point and possesses plenty of ability.
John Bridger, trainer of Delicate Kiss
She's up in grade and it's a nice race but she has a good draw and feels in great order. We were considering giving her a break before the turf season but she's in such good form that we thought we'd run her again. She's tough when she gets into gear and I'm hopeful she'll run well.
David Evans, trainer of Sea Fox
He won his first two after a wind operation but has lost his form since. He's won at Kempton so we thought we'd try him back there.
