The Dubai Way looks a hot prospect at Warwick
The highly progressive The Dubai Way puts his unbeaten run on the line in Warwick’s Doom Bar Handicap Hurdle (4.50).
A winner at Ffos Las, Hexham and Sedgefield this season for trainer Harry Whittington, The Dubai Way graduates to handicaps off a mark of 122 and must concede plenty of weight to his rivals.
Whittington said: “He's in good form. This is his handicap debut but he's three from three so confidence is high, and hopefully he can make it another win.”
Boom The Groom due change of fortune
It’s not often you get a £45,000 handicap at a Wolverhampton evening meeting, and Tony Carroll is hoping lady luck finally smiles on Boom The Groom in the Betway Handicap (7.45).
Runner-up on his last two starts, and generally luckless over the past 12 months, Boom The Groom is attempting to end a losing sequence of 14.
“He’s in good form and loves the track,” said Carroll. “It’s a difficult draw in stall ten, but not impossible from there.”
The trainer added: “He endured plenty of bad luck last year and has just hit the woodwork twice. Hopefully his luck will change soon.”
