Officials at Plumpton have given Monday's meeting the all clear before the scheduled 8am inspection following a dry night at the course.

A total of 8mm of rain fell on Sunday to leave the ground as heavy, but the going description has improved slightly to heavy, soft in places.

Plumpton racecard on Monday

The seven-race card is due to start at 12.45 and a dry day is forecast.

Lingfield will inspect at 2pm on Monday for its jumps fixture on Tuesday after heavy rain at the track.

More than 30mm fell over the weekend, leaving standing water on parts of the course.

The go-ahead for Plumpton means there is a busy schedule of five meetings across Britain and Ireland on Monday.

Leicester stages the other jumps fixture, while there are all-weather meetings at Wolverhampton, Kempton and Dundalk.

The undoubted star of the show takes to the stage at Dundalk, with dual Group 1 winner Romanised out to earn a crack at next month's Hong Kong Mile at Sha Tin in the mile contest at 3.45.

Romanised will be tackling the all-weather surface for the first time, as will main market rival Saltonstall.
