Lingfield's jumps meeting on Monday called off after persistent rainfall
The jumps meeting at Lingfield on Monday has been cancelled with standing water and false ground in the back straight at the Surrey course.
The track has been hit by 27.5mm of rain since January 9 and with forecasts suggesting a further 5-10mm will fall on Sunday, officials felt there was no chance of any improvement in the next 24 hours.
Clerk of the course George Hill said on Sunday: "Entries were made when the official going description was heavy, standing water in places and the course has unfortunately been topped up with more rain almost each day this week.
"It was going to be a struggle but with the rain we've had this week it left us with no choice.
"It's disappointing to lose the fixture but it's the right thing to do as it's not safe out there and we're forecast more rain today."
Sunday's jumps meeting at Newcastle was cancelled for a rather different reason on Saturday with snow settled on the track and forecasts suggesting further cold weather was on its way.
