Sunday's Dundalk card is nothing out of the ordinary, but, when all eyes are on the Curragh next weekend, the track will host something a little different.

Harness racing will take place at the course for the penultimate fixture of a five-day series that began in June, with the finale scheduled for Sunday, September 25. Following lobbying in government, trotting has returned to the County Louth all-weather facility after a hiatus of eight years.

The Irish Harness Racing Association is in the third year of a link-up with France's Le Trot, which subsidises Irish races restricted to French-bred trotters.
