Adam Peaty may have interrupted the sleep of Uttoxeter's townsfolk this week but his efforts in the Olympic swimming pool have now earned them a free day's racing.

The 21-year-old broke the world record for the second time in a few days when landing the 100m breaststroke in the early hours of Monday to secure Britain's first gold medal in Rio.

Peaty is from the Staffordshire town, where his parents and grandmother both live, and to celebrate his triumph the course has announced anyone with a ST14 postcode is eligible to claim two free grandstand or paddock tickets for the next meeting on September 7.
