Owner snaps up Naas bumper winner Red Jack
JP McManus has snapped up impressive Naas bumper winner Red Jack, trained by Noel Meade.
The four-year-old son of Mahler, who won at Naas in the colours of Meade's wife Derville, had his form boosted at Leopardstown on Sunday when Debuchet, who was two and three-quarter lengths behind him in second, scored stylishly by six and a half lengths in the concluding bumper.
"I can confirm that JP has bought him and he looks a nice horse for the future. It was nice to see the form of his Naas win work out well at Leopardstown," said McManus's racing manager Frank Berry.
Red Jack was given a quote of 25-1 for the Weatherbys Champion Bumper by Paddy Power after his Naas win.
