Order Of St George to bid for second Irish St Leger win for O'Brien
Order Of St George will bid for a second Comer Group International Irish St Leger victory next month, trainer Aidan O'Brien confirmed on Sunday.
The five-year-old landed the Irish St Leger Trial at the Curragh on Saturday for the third consecutive year, and O'Brien said: "Order Of St George was fine this morning and the Irish St Leger will be his next race."
Order Of St George won the Group 1 event by 11 lengths in 2015 and finished second to Wicklow Brave in the race a year ago.
Regarding plans for the rest of the season, O'Brien said: "We'll take one race at a time and make plans after the Irish St Leger."
The trainer did not rule out the possibility of another tilt at the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, in which Order Of St George finished third behind Found and Highland Reel a year ago.
