Why did none of my mates want to go to Irish Champions Weekend?
Like many of you, no doubt, I'm in a whole heap of WhatsApp groups. There's one restricted to Liverpool fans, one with my former college crew, one with the local GAA club, one with the neighbours, one for when I used to go to the gym (it's been a while!) and one with about 20 of my best mates which changes name every other week depending how Liverpool or Manchester United are faring. There are well over 100 people in the above groups combined and not one of the members of any of them ever mentioned anything about going to Irish Champions Weekend.

There were a few scoops organised down the local boozer by the neighbours and quite a few were bringing the kids to see the final stage of Cannonball in the County Meath town of Trim. It is an action-packed supercar spectacle apparently. Who knew?
