We complained (loudly!) and they listened - so credit where due to Racing League

Do you remember when the introduction of the Racing League was one of the biggest stories in town? Those heady days feel like a lifetime ago after a thoroughly depressing week for British racing.

As is customary, social media was the key battleground for those debating the relative merits and flaws of an initiative to shake up the industry and export racing to a fresh new audience.

Those in favour of this noble endeavour, which at times seemed restricted to those on the payroll, rightly pointed out its exemplary prize-money at a time when most horses run for peanuts.
