Views from the saddle: Pat Smullen and Shane Foley discuss the weekend action
Ian Williams, Tom Dascombe and BetBright's Gavin Geraghty also join the panel
What do you make of the Arc picture following Enable's comeback victory at Kempton on Saturday?
Tom Dascombe, trainer It was the perfect comeback run and you’d have to be confident about her in the Arc. Fillies have an amazing record in the race for some reason, with six winners in the last seven years, and I can see her winning it again.
Shane Foley, jockey I thought she was very impressive. Crystal Ocean is obviously no pushover after being just beaten at Ascot but she put it to bed relatively easily despite having to make her own running. If I could have a ride in the Arc, I’d be picking Enable.
Gavin Geraghty, BetBright odds compiler She was impressive, although the sectionals weren’t fantastic and it turned into a glorified piece of work. The Arc is shaping up to be the race of the season between her and Sea Of Class. Three-year-old fillies get such a weight advantage that I find it hard to see any horse, even Enable, giving William Haggas’s filly weight such is her devastating turn of foot if the ground is any way good.
