There is another Owen out there for whom this week's May meeting at Chester promises to be special.
Football superstar Michael Owen has never hidden his affection for the racecourse in his city of birth, and it is no exaggeration to say the three-day fixture is the biggest of the year for his nearby Manor House Stables.
But this week has also long been marked in thick red ink on the calendar of Newmarket trainer James Owen, who has had Friday's Ladbrokes Chester Cup in mind for East India Dock since his luckless run in the Triumph Hurdle.
