The joy of six: ‘It was right up there with my best days in point-to-points’
Derek O'Connor's weekly column features his sensational afternoon at Quakerstown on Sunday

I was thrilled to get six winners on the board on Sunday at Quakerstown, a local track, and one of my favourite venues.
However long you've been in the game, days like this are special. So many things can go wrong on any given day. I appreciate how fortunate I am to have nice horses to ride. Occasionally, everything falls into place.
It was great to share success with people who have played a major part in my career. The first two winners are four-year-olds owned by JP McManus, who has given me many of my biggest wins on the track, and now trusts me to bring on some of his young horses.
