Taking in Newmarket and meeting a very special guest
October might be red-circled on most schoolchildren’s diaries as being a week-long respite from lessons and homework, but for the entire Year 8 group from the Newmarket Academy, this month also gave them a unique opportunity to connect with their town’s heritage and its racing life.
Dubai Future Champions Education Week (DFCEW) has for the past six years provided a packed itinerary of experiences for the academy’s pupils.
This year 166 traversed the town with the Racing to School team to see first-hand Newmarket’s commitment to education, history and top-class breeding and racing.
