I had the operation to have my broken elbow pinned and plated on Monday. It was done under general anaesthetic and I was out of hospital later that day.

My arm must stay in a cast for another week or so and I’ll just have to take things day by day while the swelling goes down. It’s very frustrating.

On Thursday I went down to Oaksey House in Lambourn to see the nutritionist and get advice on how to keep muscle wastage to a minimum.
