Who will offer the biggest threat to Defi Du Seuil in the Champion Chase?
Sean Curran, trainer Despite this season not going to plan Defi Du Seuil’s biggest danger has to be Altior. He's a dual winner of the race and provided he bounces back to form in the Game Spirit Chase at Newbury he will take some beating at Cheltenham. If they are both at their best it could be an unbelievable race.
Andrew Thornton, former jockey Defi Du Seuil was very impressive at Ascot but it may pay to remember the 143-rated Marracudja was only seven and a half lengths away in third. The young pretenders may have a strong hand at Cheltenham but Altior will be going there relatively fresh this year.
Alan Reilly, BoyleSports Altior will have to be back to his very best to have any sort of chance. The way Defi Du Seuil put the race to bed was incredible and for his jockey to compare him to Moscow Flyer speaks volumes. Chacun Pour Soi beat him readily at Punchestown but he'll have to improve given his disappointing reappearance.
