Ryan Hatch has been one of my best friends for a long time and we’ve enjoyed some amazing times together both on and off the racecourse.

I had hoped we would be chatting away in the weighing room for many more years to come, but it just wasn’t to be. I’m going to really miss him.

He suffered a very bad injury at Cheltenham in December 2016 and has worked tremendously hard to get to where he is now. It’s bitterly disappointing for him that it’s had to end this way.
