The prospects of a return of racing at Towcester have become rosier this week, but there is still some work to be done before it becomes a reality.

Administrators KPMG announced the assets of the racecourse – including the fixtures, stands and greyhound track – had been sold to the Fermor Land partnership and that Lord Hesketh was no longer involved in the day-to-day running of the Towcester Racecourse Company.

Hesketh may no longer be involved but this is not a clean break from the family connections to the racecourse.
