Do you think Stewards’ Cup winner Khaadem is a Group 1 winner in waiting?
Oli Bell, broadcaster Khaadem was very impressive, but I can’t see him as a Group 1 winner in waiting. He may develop into one in time but he would need a strong pace as he has a good cruising speed as well.
Jim Crowley, jockey The Stewards’ Cup has thrown up plenty of Group winners and there was never a moment’s doubt during the race. He has the most beautiful pedigree and is a gorgeous-looking horse. It’s a logical step to go to Haydock, where he would have a good chance in the Sprint Cup as he’s getting better and better each time he runs.
Charles Hitchings, Sporting Index Khaadem was extremely impressive on Saturday off a mark of 107. With a hefty rise assured due to the nature of his win, he won’t be too far off the top-rated horses in the Sprint Cup at Haydock. With the possibility of more improvement to come, he seems a fair price at 9-1.
