Jockey-turned-artist David 'Mouse' Cooper returned to his old Newmarket stamping ground last month to host a successful selling exhibition of his work.

The display was staged on the premises of Edmondson Hall solicitors where the likes of Lady Cecil, Lucy Wadham and a host of other racing figures snapped up some of the wares at the launch night.

Wadham, who was making her way back from Sandown, just missed out on the top lot – a large painting of hounds that had a hefty price tag of £2,250 but could have sold five times over.
