Can I let you in on a little secret? Kevin Blake lost a bet and hasn't paid up yet. Keep it to yourself for now. He would be embarrassed.

Blake had written a blog for At The Races, convincing everyone Brighterdaysahead would stick to her own sex at the Cheltenham Festival and take the easier option of the Mares' Hurdle rather than the Champion Hurdle.
