It's not like it used to be but sitting on a horse is still so special

Any readers who follow me on Twitter may have seen a clip posted last weekend of me riding a horse while visiting my sister in Ireland. Those who saw it would have been able to tell from my face exactly what it meant to me.

What made this experience extra-special was not only being able to share it with Madeleine and her partner Andrew but to ride a real legend of a pony called Power Paul.

We got Power Paul when I was about six or seven years old, so he has been in our family forever. He's 24 now and had not actually had anybody sit on him for a couple of years, so it was very kind of him to let me have a go!
