In-form Hills on target at Goodwood but scoring not done with 100 on agenda

A week before Glorious Goodwood, Charlie Hills hosted members of the media on his Lambourn gallops, taking the wraps off stable star Battaash and others as he outlined his plans and dreams for the week – one he relishes.

As usual, the atmosphere was laid-back and relaxed, which would not surprise anyone who has dealt with the popular trainer.

He spoke openly about Battaash's better behaviour and Phoenix Of Spain's need for routine and a morning siesta, but there was a change of tone when Hills reflected on how his season was going and how he hoped it would end – with a maiden century of winners.
