Saphir Du Rheu ran a blinder in the Cheltenham Gold Cup, and is clearly one of the really interesting ones for the Grand National now.

He jumped so well last Friday, and I couldn’t quite believe just how well he was going turning into the straight. Let’s face it, I have never been so happy in finishing fifth!

All the credit must go to Paul Nicholls. Saphir Du Rheu went off the boil after a very successful spell, but the Kelso confidence booster clearly helped and he went to Cheltenham in great shape.
