A long season ends next weekend with the two-day fixture at Ballingarry and Sunday's Inchydoney card. Over the last few months, we've seen a high standard in the four-year-old maidens, and there's been no sign of these races becoming any less competitive in the final weeks. 

There were six races in the age group at the weekend meetings at Ballindenisk and Tattersalls. The winners were a mix of newcomers and horses with one or two previous outings.

Cormac Doyle took a division of the geldings' maiden at both venues. Although the stable's Ballindenisk winner Jewel Hope wasn't bred with point-to-pointing in mind, he did the job well, stepping up from a first outing at Curraghmore.
