Fantastic to see the glory shared at Goodwood - let's hope it doesn't become a thing of the past

After all the talk of a growing power imbalance within racing, it was refreshing to see success at Glorious Goodwood spread out among trainers operating at different levels.

The top trainer and jockey standings made for interesting reading last week, with Ralph Beckett and Tom Marquand taking the honours for the first time and some surprise names high up the tables. 

John Quinn came within a whisker of causing an almighty shock in the trainer award as he equalled Beckett's three winners but lost out because he had fewer seconds.
