By the time the curtain falls on the Curragh on Sunday, there is every likelihood Aidan O’Brien will have maintained his 100 per cent strike-rate in Irish and British Classics this year.

Moreover, he will also surely secure the Tattersalls Gold Cup with the redoubtable Minding, meaning he could have plundered five of the first six 2017 Group 1s on either side of the water.

There is just no stopping the great man, and odds of 1-6 about him claiming a sixth champion trainer crown in Britain could hardly be described as prohibitive.
