Oh, we are such sensitive souls. Growing up in the Jennings household, from about the age of seven to 14, we had to endure living next door to a Cockapoo called Sasha.

She was a little demon. From bursting footballs when they went over the wall to peeing on my mother's feet when she was sunbathing in our back garden, she was a weapon of mass destruction. My mother never curses, but she invented new ones every time Sasha would appear around the corner.

After seven suffering years, Sasha died. What was the first thing my mother said? "Poor Sasha. She was such a lovely dog. I'll miss her around the place."
