Clive Cox proves once again he's a top trainer - so when will his next Group 1 star emerge?

The constant drama and splendour of last week's Ebor festival left little time to savour wins, but alongside the exploits of Ethical Diamond, Asfoora and Ombudsman there was one more success deserving of special mention. 

While Clive Cox's sole Group 1 runner at York came home a luckless 13th in the Nunthorpe, the trainer still returned to Lambourn in fine fettle as he delivered a timely reminder of his training prowess with Song Of The Clyde's victory in the Goffs-sponsored Harry's Half Million.

Minnie Hauk took the headlines that day with her triumph in the Yorkshire Oaks but Cox seized another sizeable prize-money haul for his juvenile's success, with the Sergei Prokofiev colt having to fend off 20 rivals.
