'Training keeps you going' - Chris Dwyer refuses to pack it in despite split

Chris Dwyer has recently split with Dr Jonny Hon's Global Group enterprise at Albert House Stables after two years, but he is not packing in training yet even at the age of 73.

The former jockey has instead taken some of his long-standing owners with him to a new yard at the edge of town, where he is looking forward to receiving a half-sister to none other than Derby winner Desert Crown in the coming weeks.

After originally stepping down from training in 2018, Dwyer was tempted out of retirement to head Hon's new venture in 2020, since when he has trained 40 winners from one of the oldest yards in Newmarket.
