On this Saturday's Uttoxeter card 14 years ago Roberty Bob justified a shade of odds-on in the long-distance handicap chase.

According to the available data he did so without any fuss, prevailing by a length and a quarter from Dads Lad, with Follow The Flow another couple of lengths back in third.

Those two were well out of the handicap, and the in-running comments for Henry Daly’s winner read: “Always prominent, reminder after 5th, ridden to lead 10th, jumped right 2 out, eased towards finish.”
