Isn't it strange how you can turn over a page of the Racing Post and be stunned into silence by a quote you never thought you would read?

That is what happened after I'd read last week about the hopes of Willie Mullins and Rachael Blackmore for Cheltenham and digested the news Paul Nicholls was thinking of running the admirable Frodon in the Ultima Handicap Chase.

So far, so par for the pre-festival course. Until I reached page 8 and discovered Royal Ascot was changing the running order this year. The King George VI Stakes is becoming the second race on the Thursday card and the Duke of Edinburgh Stakes is taking the same place on the Friday.
