As ITV deal stalls again we can still look forward to super Sundays on the box

We wait and we hope.

Not since Tuesday, March 17 has a horserace been run in Britain. We have missed the normal end to the jumps season and the normal start to the Flat season. Life has been changed completely by the coronavirus, yet sport, the thing that so often takes our minds away from the stresses and strains of the real world, has, like everything else, been in the grip of Covid-19.

It seems like light years ago the big decision we all talked about was whether or not Michael O'Leary would allow Tiger Roll to run in the Grand National. The answer to that was ultimately the one we all wanted to hear. Now we wait for a similarly positive response from the government.
